When it comes to sex, women are often seen but rarely heard.  So when women tell stories about their sex lives, it's more than just talkit's activism. Learn about captivating projects on the cutting edge of storytelling at this one night think tank plus cocktail party. Presented by Women, Action & the Media NYC and filmmaker Melissa Tapper Goldman.

Get inspired by creative media makers approaching storytelling across disciplines, from technology to writing to organizing, through an interactive panel discussion and chance to share your stories and strategies. Women's issues are making headlines in these last few weeks before the electionlet's figure out how to use this crucial time to amplify women's stories.

How can journalists frame personal narratives to create momentum behind women-friendly policy?

How can performers and filmmakers working with marginalized stories connect with a broader audience?

How can internet moderators create safe spaces for supportive communities?

Melissa Tapper Goldman will share a clip from her documentary, Subjectified: Nine Young Women Talk about Sex, which serves real stories in a raw, honest, open formatletting women, for once, do the talking. Along with a team of sex educators, Goldman developed house party kits to bring home-grown storytelling activism straight to young women and their allies. Sneak peak: be among the first to see the kits in action.
